One night I sat and watched a story.
Of forgotten children who are left to die.
And as I sat and watched the children,
I felt ashamed and began to cry.

As the camera moved among the children,
a cry rang out, so sad and cold.
From a little boy so sick and dying,
all alone just four years old.

His little hands reached out for help,
from all the people standing there.
But no one came to love and hold him,
these heartless people just didn't care.

They said infection was in his body,
he couldn't be helped so he would die.
The truth is that they wouldn't feed him,
and hunger is what made him cry.

Can you hear the crying of the children,
all alone no one to care.
The little children, hungry, dying,
sick and cold, little bodies bare.

Some hurt, some sick.
some left forgotten.
All left alone by parents gone.
They've never known, the love thats given,
to little children in happy homes.

A rag to cover their battered bodies,
and a bowl of food not fit to eat.
Is all they've known of love and comfort,
for their broken bodies and twisted feet.

Unsalvageable kids is what they call them,
forgotten kids who are left to die.
No one cares if they are hungry,
or if they're sick or if they cry.

A nations shame is what I call them,
these little kids in need of love.
They're just lost and we must find them,
before it's too late for all of us.

SUFFER NOT MY LITTLE CHILDREN!
is God's word to you and me.
And if we let this horror happen,
we'll all be damned until eternity.

I call on people everywhere,
to search your hearts,
And show you care.
