| Grace comes like the scent of sweet, earthy perfume- The owner unknown. Grace comes like a light snow On jagged gray peaks In the break of morning. Grace comes like a flood swelling your lonely heart. Grace comes like a trusted friend who Holds your hand unexpectedly and then Keeps holding it past the moment of awkwardness Grace comes like the autumn wind, stirring up dried leaves, dancing at your feet, Making you smile like a kid. Grace comes like a doe grazing, Soft and sweet, Through the uncut grasses of your soul. Grace comes like a pair of geese, That land with a skid and a rush, Upon the surface of your mind Grace comes like a child running, rough Through your house- Opening doors and yelling out your name. Grace comes, When you ask and Even when you don’t. That’s the nature of Grace. |
