Power Of Prayer
By Michelle G.
Listen and you will hear...
A baby cries from hunger, his mother holds him dear.
The mother with no milk to offer, is very weak.
A poor baby starving, whose future seems bleak.

She cradles him for warmth, as they lay on dirt floor.
Somberly she falls asleep, when his cries are heard no more.
The mother awakes, but still hears no cry.
She is terrified, and wonders why.

Her worst fear is forced upon.
Can her baby really be gone?

Look and you will see...
A mother shaking uncontrollably.
Its not fair, she screams out loud.
Her despair draws a village crowd

Please God, she began to pray.
Please let my baby be okay.
Love and you will feel...
Absolutely nothing is more real.

A woman stepped forward, with an extended arm.
She asked to hold him, and promised no harm.
The woman listened to his chest.
She smiled, and gently raised him to her breast.

The lethargic newborn slowly started to nurse.
A mother's gratitude of tears began to immerse.
Thank you God, for sending this angel on earth in response to my plea.
Thank you God, for Miracles blessed by thee.
